Pat Bollard

Pat Bollard

Pat Bollard are a folk band with stories to tell and a twinkle in their eye. Once a ragtag busking act, they’ve evolved into a full-blown musical force—armed with fiddles, harmonies, and the occasional questionable joke. Their songs wander between laughter, heartbreak, and pint-raising singalongs, all delivered with a warmth that makes every gig feel like a fireside session with old friends. Expect heartfelt lyrics, catchy choruses, and a healthy disregard for taking themselves too seriously. Pat Bollard: proper folk, slightly mischievous, and guaranteed to leave you humming on your way home.

PictureFrames, Louis O'Hara, DELIFINGER

Pictureframes
Moving between melodic, folk-inflected pop songs and minimal arrangements, Pictureframes conjure the changing rhythms of the natural world, channelling the likes of kevin Ayers, The Cleaners From Venus and Neil Young alongside the quieter moments of Yo La Tengo and The Velvet Underground. Their self released debut EP 'Event On The Downs’ has been championed by BBC6 musics Gideon Coe and the band have recently performed alongside Daisy Rickman, Brown Horse and Dana Gavanski. Their second EP is set for release in spring 2026. Pictureframes consist of James Bonney (who also plays with improvised kraut/folk trio Double Pelican and songwriter Eva May) Molly Linen (whose solo output is released via Lost Map records) Dan Weltman (of indie pop project Snails), Caio Wheelhouse and Nick Bradford.

Louis O'Hara
Louis O'Hara is a singer-songwriter from Pembroke Dock, whose music finds beauty in the soft details of everyday life. Blending tender folk sensibilities with poetic lyricism and chamber-pop flourishes, his songs draw from memory, family, place and quiet emotional truths.
'A Peaceful Kind of Fun' (Libertino) is a 14-track collection that distils O’Hara’s poetic lyricism, tender folk roots, and subtle chamber-pop flourishes into a deeply personal yet quietly universal debut. Recorded with his band His Burley Chassis and produced by James Trevascus (Billy Nomates, Young Fathers, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis) in Spain.

Delifinger
Formerly of Bristol's pop-experimentalists OLO Worms (Fence Records), and current member of local collective The Burway, Stroud-based singer-songwriter Matthew Lacey cuts loose as Delifinger (Lost Map Records). Expect wonky pop folk and off kilter love songs.

The Undercover Hippy

Billy Rowan AKA The Undercover Hippy returns to the Albert as the world hurtles ever deeper into its final post truth, ai-generated death spiral…

As the social feeds upon which we suckle become clagged with the sour taste of AI slop… As the digital realm turns cannibal and eats itself to death… perhaps it’s time for a bit of real life?

This April, The Undercover Hippy will embark upon their UK “Real Life Tour”, slogging their actual physical bodies and instruments around the country in a van and pouring their hearts and souls out to other actual physical human beings around the country. So sack off your digital identity, if just for one night, and come and get sweaty with one of the most delicious crowds you will ever encounter.

If you’ve not been to an Undercover Hippy gig before, you are in for a treat. By the encore you will be exalted and exhausted; entertained and educated; energised and inspired. The music combines meaningful lyrics with upbeat, bass soaked, reggae and hip-hop infused rhythms, bringing like minded people together to both acknowledge the darkness and celebrate life.

But don’t take our word for it:

Live Review - “I don’t think there’s anything quite like The Undercover Hippy... It’s truly unique, fun, and powerful, with darkly satirical lyrics in equal amounts set to a reggae beat that’s simply infectious… this has been one of the THE most enjoyable shows I’ve been to in years” - https://www.leftlion.co.uk/read/2023/april/gig-review-the-undercover-hippy-at-the-bodega
