    Our signature locally sourced beef burger. Made from cows that were grazed within 8 miles of the pub. The Rod-Burger comes with burger cheese in a brioche bun on a bed of shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, gherkin, red onion and relish.

    We serve pink, so please ask if you want it well done.

    Our meat imitation burger is served topped with burger cheese in a brioche bun. For those with a plant based diet we can serve it in a dairy free burger bun with vegan cheese.

    Please note we only hold a limited number of gluten-free and vegan rolls each week. Please book in advance if you can, letting us know your dietary requirements to avoid disappointment.

Pizza and burgers are available for takeaways from the kitchen when it is open.

Opening hours for the kitchen are currently:

  • Wednesday to Friday 4pm to 9pm

  • Saturday 1pm to 9pm

  • Sunday 1pm to 6pm

Please call the pub on 01453 755600 to order a takeaway. You can pay by card over the phone when you order, or at point of pick up.

We do suggest that you avoid the ultra busy times of 7 to 9pm on Friday nights.
