Songwriter’s Stage

  • The Prince Albert Rodborough Hill Stroud, England, GL5 United Kingdom (map)

Songwriter's Stage at The Prince Albert is an event designed to let songwriters showcase their skills in a relaxed, supportive and inclusive environment. It’s an opportunity to share your own songs or compositions and hear what other people are creating, it could even be a work in progress! It doesn’t matter if you’ve performed a thousand shows or if you’ve never played in front of anyone before, we’ll do our best to make it a welcoming and supportive space to express yourself.

Everyone is very welcome but head of programming Lotte is particularly keen to encourage those who are under-represented in the music scene to come along and feel confident in performing. We feel that women, non-binary people, people with disabilities and young people among others are often under-represented and we’d love to encourage you to come and join us. To comply with licensing requirements any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The evening will be facilitated by Ben of Ben Brockett Music Production, Fireside Bookshop and Stroud alt. indie band Lo-Hi-Lo. Ben has years of experience in running community music events so please feel free to drop him a line if you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to support you in playing your music.

You can book one of limited number of pre-book slots or please turn up by 7pm to sign up to play on a first come first served basis. Music starts at 7:30pm and we are usually finished by 10pm. Free.
