Lucious band - this review pretty much says it all - and Bar Lotte, what a great name.

'Another great night of music at Bar Lotte for the Frome Festival. The Slate Trio consists of Neil Smith and his incredible guitar playing, Matthew Jones who is a fantastic drummer who knows his way round some seriously complex timings and Alex Heane, who i haven't heard till last night, on Double Bass, solid, joyful and energetic.

African poly rhythms and hypnotic bass lines driving deep grooves. Guitar floating on top that was transcendent and somewhere between Ali Farka Toure and Dave Gilmour. Improvised and wildly free. Absolute magic!'
