From The Whitehouse presents…Reg Meuross

  • The Prince Albert Rodborough Hill Stroud, England, GL5 United Kingdom (map)

Reg Meuross is one of England’s most enduring and respected songwriters - a modern troubadour whose work spans love, history, politics, and social conscience. With his clear tenor voice, captivating storytelling, and deep connection to his audience, Reg continues to prove why Mike Harding introduced him onstage at the Royal Albert Hall as “one of this country’s finest.”

Fire & Dust, Reg’s latest project, is a powerful new song cycle inspired by the life of American folk legend Woody Guthrie. Commissioned and produced by Who icon Pete Townshend, the cycle explores Guthrie’s life and legacy, tackling themes of racism, injustice, truth-telling, and hope. These are songs that matter — and Reg delivers them with honesty, skill and heart.

Known for his spellbinding solo performances, Reg accompanies himself masterfully on guitar, banjo, dulcimer, harmonica and tenor guitar. Whether performing in a concert hall or a small folk club, he brings intimacy, warmth and emotional power to every show. With 15 critically acclaimed albums behind him, international touring history, and a string of glowing reviews, Reg’s songwriting is often compared to early Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Tom Paxton — yet his voice is unmistakably his own.

“There’s something special about the way he writes and delivers a song” – Townes Van Zandt
“Assured a place in the pantheon of great folk songwriters” – The Living Tradition
“Classic… with echoes of early Dylan and Leonard Cohen” – The Guardian
