Dan Inzani

  • The Prince Albert Rodborough Hill Stroud, England, GL5 United Kingdom (map)

Daniel Inzani is a composer for film, pianist and band leader based in Stroud, UK.

For the past 2 decades Inzani has performed with dozens of bands from Bristol’s underground alternative and avant-garde scene, blending classical, jazz, contemporary and improvisation, using his idiosyncratic self taught approach to harmony and rhythm as a composer, band leader and collaborator.

He works regularly as a musical director and arranger for Cosmo Sheldrake, has released an avant-garde collaborative album named The Jester with Alabaster dePlume, leads his own critically acclaimed modern chamber quartet Spindle Ensemble and (the now disbanded) 8 piece Ethiopian Jazz meets Frank Zappa group Tezeta.

Since moving to Stroud 5 years ago he has gained a reputation for his incredible live shows with his various ensembles, performing at Hidden Notes Festival, WOMAD (d&b Soundscape stage) and headlining Jazz Stroud 2024.

He'll be performing music from his acclaimed triple album Selected Worlds, which was listed as a top 10 contemporary album of 2024 by The Guardian, alongside a selection of his compositions from Tezeta and Spindle Ensemble with his 7 piece band of exceptional players.

Unhinged, exhilarating adventures in genre-hopping

"There is a narrative logic to Inzani’s compositions that is compelling, heart-rending and gloriously disturbing"  ★★★★★ The Guardian
