BALLOON

  • The Prince Albert Rodborough Hill Stroud, England, GL5 United Kingdom (map)

Balloon heads out on a first UK tour in 30 years to perform acoustic arrangements of songs from its two classic LPs. The band’s acclaimed 1992 debut Gravity was recorded at Daniel Lanois’ New Orleans studio, and featured Sarah McLachlan, while 2024’s long-awaited follow up Gas ‘n’ Air was made in Mexico City and also earned rave reviews. Balloon’s folk-soul sits alongside The Go-Betweens, Blue Nile, and Velvet Underground, and fans include journalist Pete Paphides and BBC DJ Gary Crowley.

”Such a good record…” - Gideon Coe, BBC 6 Music
