The LBJBs, Trongate Rum Riots
AAfter the sadness that the Canal Stage will not be happening this year at Stroud Fringe, we have moved the stars for Friday night up the hill to the Albert for a FRINGE ON THE HILL. As always free entry and the sweatiest, grooviest, funkiest bands are going be jumping and rolling and giving it all tonight. Open until 1am
The LBJBsafter forming in late 2014 and through playing every week formed the house band at The Leftbank where we now host the hugely popular Thursday jam. Dropping heavy funk tunes with our own twist keeping the dancefloor full and are now breaking out to larger audiences, most recently supporting the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club at Thekla Bristol and Cheese and Grain, Frome as well as the Stroud Good On Parer Summer Party. And second visit to the Albert tonight.Trongate Rum Riotsare whip cracking crazy Glaswegian dudes who play all over Europe and have a little bit of a following in Stroud after their Monday night gig here last year. If you can fill us up on a week night when having never played before then they were def worth getting back. This time on their way to play a festival in the Belguims – I reckon you may find them in the town during the day too – they love to play. And we love them too. Free entry – of course!
