ABOUT LE TON MITÉ
Tones are the base for the making of music of LE TON MITÉ, a music based on spontaneous composition. All music made by LE TON MITÉ is naturally sour, but some songs will be more sour, more bitter or “softer” than the others.
The music is the result of a well-considered blending of notes of different ages and with different tastes.
The music from LE TON MITÉ, is considered “young” after one year, but it will reach its full maturity after three years. The young melodies contain the harmonies which are necessary for the second maturation that takes place through many concerts.
The main task for the composer, however, is playing. He will try about ten melodic lines in different keys in order to select five or six which will be used for the composition presenting the typical characteristics of a song from LE TON MITÉ.
The lines are recorded with a computer or magnetic tape. They remain secret in a cellar for a year on average, in order to allow the noises to be converted into melodies. The saturation of the guitar is slow and natural. When the sound becomes sparkling, it is called a song. At that moment, this crown-jewel of LE TON MITÉ will leave the cellar of the harddrive and find its way to the ears of the lovers of LE TON MITÉ.
Every listening produces a different experience. Since we work according to a natural process, it is impossible to make a standard song.
This music is not only unique because of its composing process, but also because it can be conserved for a long time. When kept in a good cellar, a LE TON MITÉ song will still have an exceptional taste and flavour after 20 years.
We do our very best to share with you the fruit of our labour, and we sincerely hope that you enjoy its taste.
